About The Position
As a Security Officer Airport Access Control in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, parking locations, roadways, and perimeter zones to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and pedestrian and/or vehicle traffic to help support authorized access, follow post orders, and report suspicious behavior or policy violations.
- Assist with security-related questions, directions, and general support while maintaining a professional presence and helping to address customer concerns in a courteous manner.
