About The Position

As a Security Officer - Airport Access Control in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-traffic government aviation location, you will conduct routine patrols of terminals and surrounding areas, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will support travelers and staff with customer service while documenting observations and reporting issues. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be able to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation facility.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of terminals, public areas, tenant spaces, and perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or maintenance hazards.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted corridors, and vehicle and/or pedestrian traffic flow; verify credentials and/or access authorizations when required by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with onsite representatives and/or public agency personnel as directed.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation; communicate observations and status updates to supervision using radio and/or other approved systems.
