Job Description As a Security Officer Airport Access Control in Santa Ana, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic government airport location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting relevant information to site contacts and/or public agency personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, public areas, parking locations, roadways, and perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or operational concerns according to post instructions.
  • Support order throughout the location by assisting visitors with directions, addressing questions in a professional manner, and communicating with Allied Universal leadership and/or local authorities when appropriate.
