About The Position
As a Security Officer - Afternoon Site Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with location protocols, helping to support orderly operations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
- Observe and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy violations encountered during patrols, following post orders and established reporting procedures.
