Job Description As a Security Officer - Afternoon Relief in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a retail or mall location, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and secure environment. You will monitor access, assist visitors, and respond to security-related situations while delivering outstanding customer service. Your presence helps to deter potential incidents, and your ability to communicate clearly supports a positive experience for everyone entering the facility.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Experience with alarm panels is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff at the front desk by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
Monitor access to the location, verifying credentials and/or identification of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or rule violations.
Document and report incidents, observations, and/or unusual activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Assist with visitor management, including issuing visitor badges and providing directions or information as needed.
Communicate with property management and/or Allied Universal supervisors regarding incidents, issues, or concerns that arise during the shift.
Support emergency response activities at the front desk as needed, coordinating with first responders and following location procedures.
