Job Description As a Security Officer - After-Hours Patrol Driver in Daly City, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed, driving patrol officer supporting a utilities location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and document observations with clear, timely reports. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2+ years of security experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility facilities, including buildings, parking areas, yards, and perimeter lines, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns to report.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, supporting visitor and/or contractor check-in processes and directing individuals to the appropriate location or contact.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting dispatch instructions, coordinating with site personnel, and contacting local responders when appropriate.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate shift activity and notable conditions to supervisors and oncoming personnel.
