About The Position

As a Security Officer - Aerospace Flight Line in North Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to questions and concerns with clear communication and outstanding customer service while documenting observations and reporting issues. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, checking credentials, issuing temporary badges when authorized, and directing visitors and deliveries according to site requirements.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or damage.
Complete required reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and communicate security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
