About The Position

As a Security Officer - Aerospace Flight Line in North Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to questions and concerns with clear communication and outstanding customer service while documenting observations and reporting issues. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, checking credentials, issuing temporary badges when authorized, and directing visitors and deliveries according to site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or damage.
  • Complete required reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and communicate security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
