About The Position

As a Security Officer - Aero/Defense Patrols NY in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within an aerospace and defense location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A Guard Card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and observe for unusual or suspicious behavior, reporting findings according to company and client guidelines.
Document incidents, observations, and activities in a timely and accurate manner using Allied Universal reporting systems.
Collaborate with site personnel and other Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment in accordance with site-specific requirements.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to changing situations or emergencies as they arise within the aerospace and defense environment.
