About The Position

As a Security Officer - Aero/Defense Entry Monitor in Rosemont, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent aerospace and defense location, you will be the first point of contact, assisting visitors and employees while helping to deter security-related incidents through your presence and professionalism. You will provide outstanding customer service, manage access control, and communicate clearly, all while embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Monitor access control at the main entry point to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or visitor logs as required by site procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with building occupants, guests, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
• Support emergency response activities at the front desk, including following evacuation and/or lockdown procedures when appropriate.
