About The Position

As a Security Officer - ACT235 Drivers's License Required in Hatboro, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond with calm professionalism while providing outstanding customer service. This is an armed and driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and Act 235 qualification, supported by an agile, reliable, innovative culture built on integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Act 235 Qualification is required for Pennsylvania only.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Control access by verifying identification, processing visitor check-in and/or check-out, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and directing authorized visitors to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation when appropriate and timely notification to site contacts and/or emergency services.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and perimeter points, watching for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and daily activities; operate communication systems and other site equipment per post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
