About The Position
As a Security Officer Access Verification in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific access control procedures, badge verification steps, and security-related policies for a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, check credentials, process visitors and/or drivers, and help to control access to restricted areas in accordance with post instructions.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity through required communication and documentation practices.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, gate areas, trailer yards, and perimeter, noting conditions that may require follow-up or additional security-related attention.
- Maintain accurate logs of arrivals, departures, visitor activity, and incident details, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
