About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Verification in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal in a dynamic logistics and distribution location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage entry points, verify credentials, and support visitor and vehicle screening. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication while helping to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific access control procedures, badge verification steps, and security-related policies for a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, check credentials, process visitors and/or drivers, and help to control access to restricted areas in accordance with post instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity through required communication and documentation practices.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, gate areas, trailer yards, and perimeter, noting conditions that may require follow-up or additional security-related attention.
  • Maintain accurate logs of arrivals, departures, visitor activity, and incident details, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
