About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Point Attendant in Northampton, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, checking credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at the location.
  • Monitor access points, gates, and/or lobbies to help to deter unauthorized entry, verify deliveries and shipments, and report irregular activity involving people, vehicles, and/or property.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and communicating security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Support daily operations at a logistics and distribution location by maintaining accurate logs, completing required reports, and communicating clearly with personnel, visitors, and/or transportation partners.
