As a Security Officer - JTMC Part Time Patrol Access in Honolulu, HI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. The role involves a fixed-shift commitment (Anchor Shifts) for a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six (6) month commitment. In addition to the fixed shift, employees may pick-up extra shifts through a scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, allowing for part-time hours one week and full-time the next. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate details to supervisors and/or appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points, observe pedestrian and vehicle traffic patterns, and report security-related issues, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior in accordance with site procedures.
  • Support traffic and site operations by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and documenting incidents, observations, and/or daily activities as required.
