As a Security Officer - Access Operations in Boca Raton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier resort location where you will monitor entry points, manage badges and guest access, and conduct routine patrols to help support a welcoming, secure environment. In this access control role, you will combine strong communication and customer service with technology use, while reflecting our values of reliability, teamwork, innovation, and integrity in daily security-related operations.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • A guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and document security-related activity in accordance with post instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including entrances, lobbies, and perimeter areas, while helping to deter unauthorized access and/or unusual activity.
