About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Management in York, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, screening visitors, vendors, and/or drivers, and directing authorized personnel at entry and exit points.
  • Monitor gates, doors, badges, and/or credential checks to help support authorized access throughout the location, including shipping, receiving, and other restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site policies.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unauthorized activity, unsecured access points, and/or operational issues that may require attention.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and/or delivery records, and communicate with site contacts regarding access requests, denied entry, and other security-related matters.
