About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Gate Attendant in Rye, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a residential location, you will manage access control by greeting residents and visitors, verifying credentials, and maintaining accurate logs using a computer or tablet. You will remain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, and report concerns clearly and professionally. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
  • Control access to the property by verifying identification, confirming visitor authorization, issuing temporary credentials, and documenting entries and exits per post orders.
  • Monitor and respond to alarms, calls for service, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, building entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, including visitor activity, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff.
