As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, assist in access control duties, and help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence will contribute to a welcoming environment, while your strong communication and customer service skills will support those on site. Requirements

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry in accordance with established protocols.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Document observations and/or incidents in detailed reports, maintaining clear and accurate records as required for the location.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or patients, providing assistance and direction as needed while upholding security-related standards.
Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and local personnel to address and resolve security-related concerns in a timely manner.
