About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Accomac, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting regular patrols throughout assigned areas. Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activities.
• Verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises, following site-specific procedures.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and vendors with security-related inquiries and access needs.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business and perimeter to observe for unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific protocols.
