About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Accomac, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting regular patrols throughout assigned areas. You will remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and respond promptly to any situations that arise. Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activities.
  • Verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises, following site-specific procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and vendors with security-related inquiries and access needs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the business and perimeter to observe for unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific protocols.
