Job Description As a Security Officer Screening Agent in Carol Stream, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access points, conduct screening procedures, and support security-related operations through routine patrols, strong communication, and customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific procedures, access screening protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Screen individuals, personal items, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and facility requirements.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipping-related documentation, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or suspicious circumstances.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and first responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting operational or security-related concerns that could help to deter unauthorized access or disruptions.
