As a Security Officer Access Control in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. In this people-first role, you will support access awareness, assist staff and visitors, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication, teamwork, reliability, agility, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor screening procedures, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site guidelines.
  • Support daily operations by documenting incidents, completing routine reports, and assisting with customer service needs while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
