You will greet associates and drivers, verify credentials, issue and manage badges, and help monitor alarms and entry activity while staying highly visible. Requirements

  • Must have a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or delivery documentation, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic flow as needed.
  • Monitor facility activity using security-related systems and visual observation, documenting unusual activity and reporting concerns per site protocol to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the building, yard, and perimeter, checking gates, doors, and staging areas for irregular conditions; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
