Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control in Morehead, KY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer, you will play a key role in access control at a retail location, helping to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and visible presence. Requirements

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Assist with access control procedures at the retail location, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
Provide customer service by addressing inquiries from visitors and employees and offering directions or assistance as needed.
Perform regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and surrounding perimeter to observe for suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and site-specific policies.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client site procedures.
Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including assisting with evacuations and coordinating with emergency personnel.
Follow all site-specific policies and procedures while maintaining a professional presence at the location.
