About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Sun Valley, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal in a dynamic commercial real estate location, where you will help manage access control, monitor activity, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and help to deter unauthorized access to the property in accordance with post instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating updates to property management and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify unusual activity and report maintenance, lighting, and/or security-related issues.
  • Support daily property operations by assisting with visitor processing, directing foot traffic, maintaining access logs, and following Allied Universal standards for professional conduct and reporting.
