As a Security Officer Access Control in Marion, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location as an Access Control Officer, where you will help manage entry points, monitor activity, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will help support a secure environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach while using agile and innovative practices in daily security-related duties.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential verification, visitor processing, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors, helping to deter unauthorized access and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, production areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and perimeter, as assigned by the location.
  • Support security-related operations by maintaining accurate logs, issuing access credentials as directed, and communicating clearly with site personnel regarding access requests, delivery arrivals, and/or policy questions.
