As an Access Control Officer at a busy automotive location, you will manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, greet employees and visitors, and document activity with clear communication. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to questions and concerns with a customer service mindset. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing and warehouse location.
  • Control access at gates, lobbies, and designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting badges and/or passes, maintaining visitor and delivery logs, and directing foot and vehicle traffic to approved areas.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems; report irregular activity and document events per post orders while helping to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, production areas, parking lots, and the perimeter; check doors, gates, and restricted areas for policy compliance and report maintenance and/or access issues.
