About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Verification in Theodore, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage access control, verify badges and credentials, monitor entry points, and conduct routine patrols. Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and supporting authorized entry and exit activity at the location.
• Monitor entrances, gates, loading areas, and other designated access points to help to deter unauthorized access and support orderly movement of people, vehicles, and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
• Document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity, complete required reports, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and other security-related concerns to site leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including shipping, receiving, parking, and warehouse-related areas, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
