Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control in Gresham, OR , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy automotive location, you will greet visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and monitor activity to help reduce security-related incidents. You will perform routine patrols, stay visible, and communicate clearly with staff and guests while documenting key events. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at an automotive location by carrying out security-related access control procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in logs and directing visitors, vendors and deliveries to appropriate destinations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras and/or access control systems; report irregular activity and document events in daily activity logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, parking areas and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, maintenance issues and policy concerns.
