About The Position
As a Security Officer Access Control in Johnson City, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and document access activity in support of site access protocols and other security-related procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, perimeter, and access-controlled areas, with attention to unusual activity and conditions that could impact operations.
- Support truck, delivery, and contractor access processes by following posted instructions, directing arrivals to the proper check-in points, and reporting concerns through established channels.
