As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced food and beverage location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, support visitor check-in and badge processes, and document security-related activity. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly with team members and site contacts, and respond to access issues with professionalism. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at employee and visitor entry points by checking identification, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests and vendors according to site rules.
  • Monitor and document incoming and outgoing deliveries, including driver check-in, trailer and seal verification, and coordinating with site contacts to help support orderly dock and yard access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, completing reports, and preserving details for follow-up.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around production, warehouse, office, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or policy concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
