About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control in Cincinnati, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic food and beverage location, helping to monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols while supporting a professional, welcoming atmosphere. In this role, you will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, assist employees and visitors, and deliver strong communication and customer service through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach.

Requirements

Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific access control procedures, badge verification practices, and security-related policies at the location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and shipping and receiving zones, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
Support security-related operations by documenting daily activity, reporting unusual conditions, and observing vehicle traffic, deliveries, and personnel movement throughout the location.
