Job Description As a Security Officer - Entry Checkpoint Screener in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help support smooth operations by conducting security-related screening, verifying identification and badges, monitoring access points, and maintaining a visible presence that can help to discourage incidents. You will communicate professionally with team members, drivers, and visitors while documenting activity and escalating concerns as needed. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Nice To Haves

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• X‐Ray Screening Experience is preferred.
• Lift More Than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control and screening procedures at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct entry screening activities such as checking identification and credentials, verifying authorization, monitoring screening equipment as assigned, and inspecting packages, parcels, and/or totes for prohibited items per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting observations, and supporting emergency response activities as directed.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by monitoring designated screening areas, queue flow, and nearby entry points, and by reporting unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Complete required security-related reports and logs, including screening results, incident details, and shift activity updates, and communicate information to the appropriate personnel.
