Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control in Knoxville, TN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer, you will be responsible for access control and security-related patrols within a healthcare location. Your role involves monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with access control procedures at healthcare locations, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches of protocols.
  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related risks.
  • Report and document any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or breaches in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, communicating clearly with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel.
