As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will help support a welcoming environment by managing visitor entry, verifying credentials, and monitoring access points throughout the day. You will conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with tenants, guests, and on-site teams. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors and/or employees by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Operate access control points for a commercial property, including verifying identification, managing visitor registration, issuing temporary credentials and directing guests to approved destinations.
Monitor and control entry and exit through doors, turnstiles and/or vehicle gates, helping to prevent unauthorized access and reporting irregular activity.
Perform key control and credential accountability tasks, including logging issue and return activity per site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site management and/or public emergency services as needed.
Complete security-related reports, access logs and incident documentation with clear, accurate details.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business interior, common areas, loading areas, parking areas and perimeter as assigned. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Monitor cameras, alarms and other building systems as assigned, and communicate observed concerns to appropriate parties.
Provide directions, basic building information and assistance while maintaining a professional presence at access control posts.
Participate in post orders briefings and follow site-specific protocols for deliveries, contractor check-in and restricted-area access.
