Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. You will remain visible, help to deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipping-related documentation, and help to control authorized access to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, delivery-related issues, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant activity according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, dock areas, trailer lots, and perimeter, with attention to security-related concerns and unusual activity.
  • Support Allied Universal and site personnel with visitor management, employee access requests, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
