About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control in WILMINGTON, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting individuals entering or exiting the facility in accordance with site-specific policies.
Carry out security-related procedures and protocols as directed by Allied Universal and client site management.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and report any irregularities.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to company and site-specific requirements.
Communicate with site management and Allied Universal regarding any security-related concerns or unusual activity observed during shifts.
