About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Wilson, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, helping manage access, monitor activity from the desk, and respond to security-related concerns with calm professionalism. You will support guests and store teams with clear communication, accurate incident reporting, and a people-first approach. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific policies and assigned post orders at the front desk location.
Control access by greeting entrants, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials when directed, and maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs.
Monitor cameras, alarms, and other systems as assigned, and report unusual activity according to procedure to help to deter policy violations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate and requesting assistance as needed.
Complete required documentation such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and customer service notes, and communicate key information during shift transitions.
