Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Full-Time in Seattle, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment at a leading aerospace and defense location. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Perform access control duties to help manage entry and exit of authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles at the location.
- Monitor and verify credentials of individuals seeking access to restricted areas, following established site-specific policies and procedures.
- Assist with security-related customer service, providing information and directions to employees, contractors, and/or visitors as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any observed irregularities.
- Document and report security-related incidents, unusual activity, and/or policy violations in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
- Support emergency response activities as directed, assisting with evacuations and/or other procedures when necessary.
