About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Thomson, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location where you will help manage access control at entry points, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and document activity using site systems. You will remain visible, conduct routine rounds when needed, respond to incidents, and support drivers, associates, and visitors with clear communication and customer-focused service. Requirements

• Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing employees, contractors, and drivers to the proper areas.
• Monitor inbound and outbound activity, including deliveries and trailer or container movement, and document arrivals, departures, and access activity in required logs.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with incident documentation and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, yard, and perimeter, and report unusual conditions, unsecured doors or gates, and/or policy violations to site leadership.
