About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk in Manteca, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a healthcare location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, greet visitors, and support staff with clear communication and a customer-first approach. You will conduct routine patrols and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents while documenting activity and reporting concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access control policies at a healthcare location, including credential verification and visitor processing.
  • Manage entry and exit through controlled access points, issue and/or collect temporary badges per site policy, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted clinical and/or operational areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicate updates to site contacts and/or emergency responders, and document actions taken.
  • Monitor access control systems, cameras, and/or intercoms as assigned, report irregular activity, and complete required logs and incident reports per Allied Universal and site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, and the perimeter when assigned, noting hazards and/or policy concerns and reporting them through the established chain of command.
