As a Security Officer - Access Control Transportation Hub in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional, you will perform access control duties and monitor the premises at a major transportation location. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing excellent customer service to all visitors and staff. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor access points to help control entry and exit at the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for individuals entering restricted areas.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and/or travelers with directions and information as needed.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain order within the transportation environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the property and perimeter to help identify and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and local authorities as required during emergencies or security-related events.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by the site.
Remain alert and observant to help deter unauthorized access and report any potential threats to the appropriate personnel.
