About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Tech Site in Moncks Corner, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a leading technology and media location, you will monitor entry points, check credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access while providing outstanding customer service. Your presence will help to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. This is a driving post, so you will need to operate company or client vehicles as part of your duties. Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and permissions for entry to help to deter unauthorized individuals.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and guests with questions and directions related to security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related risks and identify any unusual activity.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to company and client requirements.
  • Follow emergency response procedures as needed, communicating with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities when appropriate.
  • Support site-specific security-related operations, adapting to the unique requirements of the location within the technology and telecommunications environment.
