About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in West Chester, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology and communications location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access while maintaining accurate logs and reports of security-related activity.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocols and documenting security-related events.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, lobby areas, and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, access issues, and/or conditions that may require a security-related response.
