About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in West Chester, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology and communications location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access while maintaining accurate logs and reports of security-related activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocols and documenting security-related events.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, lobby areas, and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, access issues, and/or conditions that may require a security-related response.
