About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Laredo, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and interact with team members and visitors, contributing to a secure environment. Requirements

Speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises, following established site-specific policies and procedures.
Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by addressing inquiries and assisting with directions or information as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to observe for security-related concerns or irregularities.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site representatives to support overall security-related objectives at the location.
