About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Bridgeville, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal professional in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage access control, monitor entry activity, and support badge verification while providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and other access-related activity in accordance with post instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Support receiving, delivery, and contractor access processes by confirming approved entry, directing traffic flow, and reporting policy violations, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious activity.
