As an Allied Universal Officer at a high-traffic retail location, you will help manage access control by verifying credentials, issuing and tracking badges, and monitoring entry points. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service, teamwork, and using technology to support a smooth daily operation.

Requirements

Have 1+ years' armed security/law enforcement/military experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience preferred.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
Access control/badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
Manage access control at entrances and loading areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing authorized persons to appropriate areas.
Monitor alarms, CCTV, and/or access control systems; document observations and report unusual activity to site leadership per post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting evacuation and/or medical response procedures when directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior common areas, exterior perimeter, and parking areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
