As an Access Control Security Officer at a residential location, you will help manage entry points, verify access, and monitor activity to support a secure environment for residents and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver customer-focused communication while documenting observations. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization, and assist with visitor management and resident delivery protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying property management and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Maintain accurate logs for access activity, key and/or credential issuance, incidents, and other security-related reports required by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, amenity spaces, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
