About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Patrol in Lavonia, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and by responding appropriately to emergency situations when required.
  • Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial facility, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary according to established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe for any irregularities.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by site policies.
  • Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and contractors to provide assistance and information related to access control and security-related matters.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure and orderly environment at the location.
