About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Patrol in Topeka, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a food and beverage production location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to all visitors and team members. Requirements

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location, following established protocols for a food and beverage environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Assist with visitor and contractor management, verifying identification and maintaining visitor logs as required.
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
  • Support emergency response efforts by following established procedures for alarms, evacuations, or other urgent situations.
