About The Position
As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in an education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout residential, academic, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and policy concerns.
- Monitor entrances, common areas, and assigned posts, assisting with visitor screening, directional assistance, and reporting of maintenance, lighting, and other property-related concerns that may impact security-related operations.
- Support move-in, move-out, and other campus housing activities by helping with crowd management, line organization, and policy reminders while maintaining a professional presence.
