About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Patrol in Abbeville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles as required by site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries related to access procedures and site protocols.
  • Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with location-specific guidelines and Allied Universal standards.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or suspicious activities observed during shifts.
  • Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal supervisors to address security-related needs and concerns specific to a technology, media, or telecom environment.
